For a long time this dish has been ranking #1, and as long as I've been making it, no one has gotten tired of eating it.
Like my Hubby would say, "Stuffing, I'm Staying!" He would have me make it once a month if I would.
I make my rice different each time, but my family never complains, they only ask for more. That's a good thing!
This dish spells holiday, and it's seasoned and flavored with spices I only use during the holidays!
One of the few foods I want to taste the same every time I make it!
This dish is filled with tender chicken breast pieces, vegetables, dumplings, and seasoned so that you can taste all the flavors, what a delicious concoction!
These drumsticks were seasoned, floured, deep fried half way through the cooking process, then placed in this dish - covered with BBQ sauce. I baked it the oven until it was done. Delish!
Mushrooms, onions, peppers, and a delicious creamy sauce. I love my gravies!
Baby Bella Mushrooms, it was love at first bite.
It may look like plain ole gravy, but in the end, I just didn't make enough, and it was very disappointing!
I cut into this ham in both directions, then I pierced each intersection with a clove. Put it in the oven and based it every 15-20 minutes.
I didn't have to add much seasoning to this dish, because of the salt in the crab meat, what a burst of flavor!
Our Family Favorites
A turkey is nothing but a big bird. Treat it like a chicken, and you'll have no problem making it. Just follow the instructions on the label.
This was suppose to be an appetizer, but turned out to be part of the main dish!
I took this photo with the shredded Mozzarella cheese on top to remember that I put it in the salad, but as always, a salad can be a meal by itself.
I'm not a Southern Bell, I grew up on West Indian food, but I just never learned to cook the way my mom did. I usually season my collards with meats, sometimes I leave it in, and other times I take it out.
I will turn a salad into a meal! Hard boiled eggs, grapes, apples, cheeses, black olives, and the list goes on!
This is the family favorite I get the most phone calls on, "Mommy, how do you make your macaroni and cheese?"
My niece told me about "Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles, I was hesitant.....What was I thinking? Without sacrificing quality and taste, I've given up some time!
Cooked to perfection - not over-done, if you really want to enjoy plump juicy shrimp.
I was introduced to Swai fish about 8 years ago. The only fish in my freezer is Swai and Tilapia. Why? Because it is absolutely delicious and it does'nt matter how you make it!
Chicken tenders, this means you cook it low and slow, and make sure it's golden brown.
I created my own seafood soup loaded with shrimp, seafood medley, scallops, squid, crab meat, broccoli ......
Cabbage is our family's favorite vegetable to have at gatherings, need I say more?
Battered, double dipped and delicious!
I make so many different flavored rice, that no one ever taste the same. This rice is seasoned with green olives.
I used the crab meat in the can to make these, and seasoned it with eggs, bread crumbs, shrimp, garlic, peppers, and other seasonings.
This chicken was seasoned over night and oven baked. It was based every 15 minutes to keep it from drying out.
Although I use the same seasoning, my macaroni and cheese can taste slightly different based on the cheeses used.
I like to add fresh seafood to dishes like seafood soup, or seafood salad..
This is only requested by my Hubby when he wants me to make Chili. He loves Chili and Rice. It may have something to do with the fact that it was the first dish I every cooked for him, 37 years ago!
Pizza is a favorite of my teenagers in our home. It is the go to quickie dinner when we are too busy to cook a meal. I made this pizza using the King Arthur Flour, but the Boboli pizza dough, we buy regularly.
In my family, we love seafood, so crab legs is also apart of our favorite meals.
For a quickie appetizer, I make Pigs in the Blanket, and "Angel" (not deviled) Eggs! I changed the name about 25 years ago, so my family has been spreading it around.
I could give my turkey broth a darker consistency, but I like to separate the two when I'm making them both. This way they don't taste the same.
It's during the holidays that I go over, above, and beyond in the kitchen. This is what my homemade chicken broth looks like.
